| Paul Zador
Paul L. Zador, Ph.D, is a senior statistician and study-design
methodologist with more than 30 years of experience in collaborative,
interdisciplinary research. He joined Westat in Rockville, Maryland, in
1993 after a diverse career as an applied researcher and consultant.
Dr. Zador has extensive experience in applying statistical techniques to
complex, real world problems, including multivariate methods, meta
analysis, time series analysis, survival analysis, hierarchical
modeling, survey design, and using propensity-based methods for bias
reduction in observational studies. He has participated in, planned, and
managed research studies that included components of field data
collection, survey design, analysis of secondary data, and data
linkages.
Dr. Zador has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on
topics that encompass statistical communication theory, transportation
safety, the evaluation of measures designed to reduce alcohol-related
motor vehicle fatalities, the evaluation of advertising campaigns
against the use of illegal substances, injury research, and technological
means of reducing motor vehicle fatalities. He has Ph.D. in mathematical
statistics from Stanford University and a B.A. in mathematics from
Oxford University, England.
