Miguel Cruz

Miguel Cruz, M.A., Computer/Network Engineer, is a consultant for HRDAG. He manages the technology used to gather, exchange, and analyze human rights data. He has 15 years of Internet experience, having developed his first website in 1993, and has provided technical consulting for major public and private institutions worldwide. Mr. Cruz holds an M.A. in International Relations from Yale University and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Miguel traveled to Guatemala to set up servers and mirrors to back up human rights data. He recently returned from a trip to Iraq on another Benetech project aimed at getting medical and technical books to the universities there as the country tries to rebuild. He works closely with one of our confidential projects setting up their systems and aiding them in the use of Analyzer. Miguel wrote a data mapping application for the HRDAG Chad project and co-authored the preliminary report for that project.
